The updated version of Bill HB 393 includes a specific provision establishing a "tax stabilization reserve" within the state treasury. This change allows for the state investment officer to invest the funds in this reserve according to established investment rules and in consultation with the state treasurer. This matters because it aims to manage the state's financial resources more effectively, potentially leading to better financial stability and returns on investments over time.
