The amendments to Bill SB 2 clarified the title of the act, changing it to "Medicaid Provider and Managed Care Act," and included specific definitions regarding claims for payment. This change is important because it helps ensure a better understanding of the terms and processes related to Medicaid services, aiming to protect providers and streamline the handling of payment requests. By clearly defining terms, the bill seeks to facilitate smoother operations within the Medicaid system and ensure that all parties know their rights and obligations.
