Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HM 14 includes an expanded request for the New Mexico Pediatric Society to organize a "Pediatric Specialty Care Task Force" focused on assessing and improving pediatric specialty services across the state. This change is important because it acknowledges the specific challenges faced by children with special health care needs in New Mexico, where access to specialized medical care is currently limited and often centralized in Albuquerque. By emphasizing the need for equitable and integrated care, the bill aims to ensure that all children in New Mexico, regardless of their location, have the medical support they need.
