Plain-language change summary

The amendments to SB 95 expand the definition of eligible projects under the Metropolitan Redevelopment Code to now include creative enterprises, cultural facilities, and public infrastructure. This change is significant as it allows counties more flexibility and resources to support local development, potentially enhancing community engagement and economic growth. By acknowledging these areas, the legislation encourages investment in not just traditional structures but also innovative and cultural initiatives, which can improve the overall quality of life for residents.
