The revised version of Bill HB 69 includes a significant change by eliminating the "Class C" county classification and simplifying how counties are categorized for salary purposes. Now, there are only two classifications: Class A for larger counties with populations over 100,000 and Class B for those with smaller populations. This matters because it streamlines the salary adjustment process for elected county officials, potentially allowing for more equitable salary structures across counties.
