The recent amendments to SB 67 introduce a new requirement for lobbyists and their employers to file detailed expenditure reports. These reports must be submitted electronically to the secretary of state and include a sworn statement of all spending related to state legislators or political candidates. This change is important because it enhances transparency regarding the influence of lobbyists on political decisions, helping to ensure accountability in the political process.
