Plain-language change summary

The revised bill, HB 1626, increases the total funding for the State Department of Health from about $34.9 million to approximately $48.1 million. It specifically allocates more money to various health programs, including a significant boost for the Early Intervention Program, which received an additional $2 million, and provides funds for addressing health disparities. This change is important as it aims to enhance health services and support for Mississippi residents, particularly in critical areas like maternal and child health and community health programs.
