What changed in the latest version
191 added · 184 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Bill SB 2203 now includes provisions for the installation of flow meters in sewer lines, allowing the Mississippi Department of Mental Health to better monitor and manage sewer costs based on actual usage. This change also gives the Department of Mental Health the authority to charge agencies proportionate to their sewer use. Additionally, the language has shifted from limiting the use of unassigned property to timber purposes only, to allowing the leasing of such property for broader uses, thereby providing more flexibility for future development. These changes are significant because they enhance accountability in utility costs and expand options for utilizing state property effectively.
