The revised bill SB 2664 now includes provisions to create a new program within the Department of Transportation that focuses on aeronautics and rail, while also extending the timeline for certain education funding transfers. Additionally, it directs the state fiscal officer to allocate funds from both the general education and veterans affairs budgets to specific loan and home funds. These changes matter because they aim to enhance transportation infrastructure and ensure continued support for education and veterans in Mississippi.
