Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 691 now includes provisions to designate additional memorials along highways in Mississippi. Specifically, it adds segments of U.S. Highway 72 and an intersection in Morton, honoring individuals such as Eddie Dixon and Reverend Scott Mangum, along with a sign for country music singer Randy Houser on Interstate 20. These changes are significant as they recognize the contributions of local figures and enhance community pride by honoring their legacies on the state's roads.
