Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill HB 1084 introduces two key changes: it raises the age at which individuals are exempt from continuing education requirements for insurance producers from 65 to 66 years, and it extends the period individuals must have held their licenses from 20 years to 25 years. This matters because it aims to recognize and reward long-standing professionals in the insurance and real estate fields, allowing them to bypass additional educational burdens after a significant length of service and at an older age. These changes may make it easier for experienced professionals to continue working without needing to meet ongoing education requirements.
