What changed in the latest version
117 added · 104 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Bill HB 1618 has increased the personal services budget from approximately $298,213 to $322,777, while also raising the total funding through June 30, 2024 from $112,875 to $508,810. Additionally, new language specifies that funds for vacancies must be used to increase overall employee headcount rather than for salary adjustments for current employees. These changes are important as they ensure more resources are allocated for hiring new staff and that current employees' salaries remain compliant with minimum wage standards, improving job security and staffing levels in the state agency.
