What changed in the latest version
467 added · 443 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Bill HB 484 includes several key changes. Most notably, it removes the plan to repeal certain definitions and penalties related to the Petroleum Products Inspection Law, allowing these sections to remain in effect. Additionally, the bill now explicitly authorizes the Southern Rail Commission to apply for grants and collaborate with rail service providers and track owners to improve passenger rail services. These changes are important because they aim to enhance oversight and enforcement of petroleum product inspections and support the development of passenger rail infrastructure, which can improve transportation options for Mississippi residents.
