Plain-language change summary

The latest version of HB 1622 increases the total funding for the Department of Human Services for the fiscal year by approximately $1.3 million, raising it to about $1.74 billion. It also clarifies that funds can only be used for essential purposes related to the department's authorized powers. These changes are significant because they ensure that the agency has adequate resources while maintaining strict oversight on how that money is spent.
