The latest version of Bill HB 422 has removed multiple funding sources, including those for various court programs and advocates for domestic violence victims. This change raises concerns about the potential impact on vital services that support public safety and legal protections. By eliminating these funds, the bill may limit resources for key initiatives that assist those affected by crime or require legal assistance, which could affect the overall health of the judicial system.
