The latest version of Bill SB 3049 adds over $37 million in funding specifically for various development projects across different cities, including $8 million for the Gulfport Redevelopment Commission and $3 million for the City of Biloxi. Previously, the bill allocated no funds for such projects, which made it impossible to support local development efforts. This change is significant as it enables targeted investments in economic development, potentially revitalizing these areas and improving local infrastructure.
