Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 1599 includes increased funding for personal services, raising the budget from approximately $9.6 million to about $10.9 million. Additionally, the number of permanent full-time positions authorized has increased from 143 to 155. These changes are significant because they allow for more staff within the agency, which could enhance its ability to meet the needs of the public while maintaining control over personnel costs.
