The amendment to Bill SB 2773 extends the expiration date for a tax credit that encourages companies to move their headquarters to Mississippi. This change is important because it allows more time for businesses considering relocation to benefit from this incentive, potentially attracting more investment and job opportunities to the state. The update also makes it clear that the criteria used to rank counties based on unemployment and income will remain in effect without interruption.
