Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill HB 1005 expands the Nursing Education Incentive Program to include training for respiratory therapists alongside nurses. With this change, students can receive forgivable loans for studying both nursing and respiratory therapy; they must commit to practicing in Mississippi for a minimum of five years after completing their education. This change matters because it aims to address the growing need for healthcare professionals in the state by encouraging students to enter these critical fields.
