The recent changes to Bill SB 450 modified the text surrounding tax exemptions for materials and supplies used in aircraft maintenance and repair. The new version clarifies that the exemptions apply not only to materials and parts but also to consumable supplies used during these processes. This is significant because it expands the existing tax relief for aircraft maintenance operations, potentially reducing costs for businesses in the aviation sector, thus encouraging maintenance activities and possibly enhancing overall aviation safety.
