Plain-language change summary

The updated version of Bill SB 1801 now requires that early voting polling places stay open for at least 8 hours on holidays and 14 hours on the final weekend of early voting. Previously, there was no specific requirement for polling hours during these times, just a mention of weekends and holidays. This change is important because it aims to increase access to early voting, allowing more people to participate in elections, especially on busy days like holidays and weekends.
