Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 3843 updated the reference from the Abused and Neglected Long Term Care Facility Residents Reporting Act to the Department of Human Services Act. This change clarifies how and when a recipient's records and communications can be disclosed during health care worker registry hearings. This matters because it strengthens protections for sensitive information while ensuring that relevant records can still be accessed for legal proceedings, thus balancing confidentiality with the need for accountability in health care settings.
