Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to HB 2332 clarify the definition of "high-risk missing persons" and strengthen the responsibilities of law enforcement in actively searching for these individuals. Additionally, law enforcement agencies are required to follow specific guidelines outlined in the Act, which helps ensure a consistent approach to handling these cases. This matters because it enhances the urgency and effectiveness of searches for vulnerable individuals who go missing, potentially saving lives.
