The legislative amendment to Senate Resolution 93 updates how members are appointed to a Task Force, specifically clarifying that the Senate President and Minority Leader each appoint members directly, rather than through the Task Force chair. This change ensures a more direct involvement of Senate leadership in the appointment process. Additionally, it simplifies the language around the creation of a system for tracking sales-related information. These changes matter because they enhance accountability and streamline the setup of a new information system, which could better serve the interests of various stakeholders, including law enforcement and the public.
