Plain-language change summary

The recent amendments to HB 628 clarify who qualifies as a "professional" for evaluating children, specifically including individuals working under the direct supervision of qualified professionals. This change is significant because it ensures that parents can have better access to educational evaluations, leading to more effective participation in the development of their child's educational services. It also emphasizes the need for reasonable access to school facilities and personnel, which is essential for a thorough evaluation process. Overall, these amendments aim to empower parents and improve the educational resources available to children.
