Plain-language change summary

The most significant change in SB 660 is the shift in oversight from the Division of Insurance within the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to the Department of Insurance directly. This matters because it could streamline regulations and enhance the clarity of roles in managing insurance policies, which may lead to better service for consumers dealing with claims. Additionally, a new definition regarding the claim adjustments process has been introduced, providing clearer guidance on how these values are negotiated, which is crucial for both policyholders and insurance companies.
