The revised version of SB 3402 includes several key changes. Most notably, it clarifies that the Department of Human Services will work with the Board to launch the Community Behavioral Health Center Infrastructure Grant Program, allowing for grants to help enhance community mental health services. Additionally, the definition of "uninsured population" has been specified to focus on those without private insurance or government healthcare programs. These updates matter because they aim to better target support and resources for improving mental health care facilities and services for vulnerable groups.
