The bill HB 6092 was amended to allow the Board of Higher Education to contract with voluntary groups of non-public colleges for the purpose of sharing and analyzing data. This change means these institutions can collaborate more effectively and share information on students while retaining ownership of their data. It also ensures that schools have the option to opt-out of certain data uses if they choose, providing them greater control over how their information is used. This is important as it enhances data sharing while protecting the privacy and rights of participating institutions.
