Plain-language change summary

The amendment to SB 2065 clarifies the deadlines for completing redevelopment projects and retiring related financial obligations. Specifically, it now states that these deadlines must not extend beyond December 31 of the 32nd year after the ordinance approval for projects adopted by the Village of Downs on September 9, 1999, while keeping previous deadlines intact for projects approved after January 15, 1981. This change is important because it establishes a clearer timeline for developers and municipalities, potentially speeding up the process of project completion and financial closure.
