Plain-language change summary

The latest version of SB 1460 makes a significant change by establishing a new Department of Insurance, which involves the transfer of responsibilities from the current Division of Insurance within the Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Furthermore, it repeals a prior executive order that was guiding how the Division operated. This matters because it aims to create a more streamlined and effective agency dedicated solely to insurance oversight, potentially leading to better regulation and service for the public.
