The recent amendment to SB 3547 changes the wording from "support the use of electronic textbooks" to "gain access to and use electronic textbooks." This shift highlights a focus on not just facilitating the use of electronic textbooks, but ensuring students can actively engage with them. This change matters because it emphasizes the necessity for both technology and training so students can effectively use electronic resources in their education. Additionally, it clarifies how school districts can handle these textbooks and the necessary technology, which could improve resource management.
