Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to SB 227 changes the date limits for the completion of redevelopment projects and the associated financial obligations. Specifically, it reduces the maximum time frame from 33 years to 32 years for projects where the approving ordinance was adopted on September 9, 1999. This change is important as it aims to expedite the completion of redevelopment efforts, ensuring projects are finalized in a more timely fashion which can benefit local communities and economies.
