Plain-language change summary

The updated version of SB 1325 includes a significant amendment to the Humane Care for Animals Act, specifically clarifying that the regulations do not apply to shows involving only dogs, which will instead fall under a different legal section. This change is important because it streamlines the legal framework regarding animal involvement in entertainment, ensuring that dog-related events aren't subjected to the more stringent regulations meant for other animals. Additionally, the language surrounding prohibited actions related to animal fighting and entertainment remains consistent, emphasizing the bill's focus on animal welfare. Overall, these modifications aim to enhance clarity and enforceability in the law.
