Plain-language change summary

The latest version of HB 1004 includes a new provision that allows individuals under the age of 18 to receive a tax deduction for income earned from selling livestock at the Illinois State Fair or DuQuoin State Fair. This adjustment also ensures that the deduction will not be subject to sunset provisions, meaning it will remain in effect indefinitely. This change is important because it encourages youth participation in agriculture and supports young people in their efforts to earn income through livestock activities.
