What changed in the latest version
9 added · 9 removedPlain-language change summary
In the latest version of Bill HB 229, the language has been clarified regarding how the Department of Natural Resources calculates land eligibility for free Wild Turkey and deer hunting permits. The amendment specifies that when measuring land, any fractional parts of an acre that are half an acre or more will be rounded up to the nearest whole acre. This change is important because it streamlines the permit allocation process and ensures that landowners with slightly under the required acreage are not unfairly excluded from eligibility.
