Plain-language change summary

The latest version of Bill SB 266 has removed references to specific bar associations, such as the Chicago Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association, and instead includes the broader categories of "an Illinois metropolitan bar association" and "an Illinois statewide bar association." Additionally, the rules concerning the authority required for implementing the bill have been clarified. These changes matter because they streamline the bill's language and expand participation from various legal associations rather than limiting it to specific ones, which could enhance support and effectiveness of the initiative.
