Bill Text
What changed in the latest version
697 added · 715 removedPlain-language change summary
The latest version of Bill HB 47 has removed specific references to "physical or mental status" of individuals as it relates to law enforcement situations. This change is significant because it eliminates the requirement for law enforcement to consider an individual's physical or mental health conditions in their procedures, potentially impacting how they approach certain situations. The aim may be to simplify enforcement practices, but it raises concerns about ensuring the safety of both officers and individuals involved.
