What changed in the latest version
23 added · 121 removedPlain-language change summary
In the latest amendment to SB 398, the bill now specifies that only certain types of employers, such as government spending units and public charter schools meeting specific conditions, are eligible to participate in the plan. Additionally, it restricts participation to employees of charter schools that are tax-exempt under federal law. This change is significant because it narrows the range of employers and employees who can take part in the Public Employees Insurance program, potentially affecting the benefits and protections available to workers in those settings.
