Plain-language change summary

The revised version of Bill HB 1909 now makes it clear that employers must maintain written policies to protect the confidentiality of injury claim files. Additionally, it introduces a civil penalty for employers if they improperly disclose sensitive information about a worker's mental health condition. These changes are important because they enhance privacy protections for injured workers and ensure that employers are held accountable for maintaining confidentiality in sensitive cases.
