The amendment to Bill SB 85 changes the effective date of the proposed law regarding the issuance of lower-fee conservation patron licenses for qualifying veterans with disabilities. Originally, the bill did not specify an effective date, but the amendment now states that the law will take effect on March 1, 2020. This matters because it sets a clear timeline for when veterans will be able to access these reduced-cost licenses, allowing them to enjoy hunting and fishing privileges at a more affordable rate sooner.
