Plain-language change summary

The changes to Assembly Bill 655 involve updating the regulations surrounding home inspectors. A specific section of the law that previously provided certain restrictions on home inspector requirements (440.978(4)) has been removed. This repeal and other amendments extend the time limit for emergency rule procedures, allow for exemptions from these procedures, and grant new rule-making authority to relevant bodies. This matters because it streamlines the process for home inspectors and potentially makes it easier for them to operate, ensuring more flexibility and responsiveness to market needs.
