Plain-language change summary

The recent changes to Assembly Bill 531 focus on updating the contact information provided for suicide prevention resources on student identification cards. Specifically, the bill now replaces mentions of just the "Lifeline" with "Lifeline or one of its affiliate crisis centers," and it also includes the "Crisis Text Line" as a resource. These updates are important because they ensure that students have access to a broader range of mental health support options directly on their ID cards, potentially saving lives by making help more accessible.
