Plain-language change summary

The revised version of SB 722 expands the range of vehicles eligible for a sales tax exemption from just those operated by the Division of Public Transit to include those run by other public and nonprofit transit providers. It also clarifies the definitions of motor vehicles covered under these provisions. This change matters because it broadens the support for various transit services, potentially reducing costs for more organizations involved in public transportation and encouraging improved transit access for communities.
