Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Bill HB 2678 clarifies the definition of "another person" in the context of unlawful dissemination of personal images. Specifically, it includes anyone whose likeness is adapted or modified, making it clear that recognizable individuals in manipulated images are also protected. This change emphasizes the importance of consent in sharing images and helps hold those sharing such content accountable. Furthermore, it protects internet service providers from liability for content created by users, encouraging more open platforms while still addressing misuse of images.
