The recent amendments to Bill SB 760 clarify definitions related to financial measurements for state colleges and universities in West Virginia. Notably, it defines terms like "Composite Financial Index," "Days of cash reserved," and "Retention rates" to establish a clearer framework for assessing financial health and student retention. These changes are important because they help ensure that educational institutions have a consistent understanding of these metrics, which can influence funding and operational decisions. Overall, this aims to promote better financial management and student success across state colleges and universities.
