Plain-language change summary

The amendment to Bill SB 142 clarifies language related to student veterans' tuition benefits by changing the wording from "student's financial aid package includes" to simply "student receives." This change is significant because it makes the legislation clearer and more direct, ensuring that the protections apply to any tuition benefits received—not just those that are part of a financial aid package. This could help prevent confusion for both students and institutions about eligibility for the protections outlined in the bill.
