Plain-language change summary

The revised Bill HB 2188 now allows military veterans to waive not just skills exams, but also the knowledge test required for obtaining a commercial driver's license. This change is significant because it recognizes the driving experience many veterans gain during their service, helping them to quickly transition into civilian jobs in high-demand fields like trucking and bus driving. By removing the knowledge test requirement, the bill aims to streamline the licensing process for these veterans, facilitating their entrance into the workforce and acknowledging their valuable skills.
