What changed in the latest version
295 added · 260 removedPlain-language change summary
The updated version of Bill SB 138 includes a clearer definition of "agency" and "base assessed value," specifying that these terms apply to municipalities, counties, and various development entities. Additionally, it has removed a portion regarding certain personal property types, like trailers and boats, from the definitions. These changes help simplify the language and ensure that stakeholders clearly understand what properties and entities are involved in economic development funding. This clarity is crucial for local governments and developers as they plan and implement projects within designated districts.
