Plain-language change summary

The recent amendment to Assembly Bill 442 has made a few key changes. Firstly, the proposed funding for the program was reduced from $750,000 to zero for the 2019-20 fiscal year, which means that no financial aid will be available in that year. Additionally, the timeline for when school boards could enter into whole grade sharing agreements has been extended to May 1, 2020. These adjustments are significant as they directly impact the financial support available to schools and the opportunities for cooperation among school districts.
