What changed in the latest version

The recent amendments to SB 310 update the effective dates for certain tax provisions, changing references from January 1, 2019, to January 1, 2020, and from December 31, 2017, to December 31, 2018. These changes clarify how federal tax changes are applied retroactively or prospectively, ensuring that past tax laws remain in effect for taxable years before January 1, 2020. This is important because it helps taxpayers understand their obligations and rights under the law and ensures consistency with federal tax regulations.
